I am Cathy Craigmiles. I am a Dumas native. I graduated from Dumas High School in 19?? I graduated from Concordia Teachers College (Lutheran) in Seward, Nebraska with a B.S. in Education. My first teaching job was in the beautiful ski resort town of Mammoth Lakes, California. I taught 2 & 3 year olds in a Lutheran preschool. Upon returning to Dumas, I taught second grade for 13 years. During this time I met and married my husband Danny. Later, I stayed home for a few years with our daughter Macey, who is now 15 years old and a Sophomore in high school. I, then, returned to teaching and taught second again for three years before pursuing a masters degree in library science at Texas Woman's University.

I love to cook (and eat, of course), scrapbook, and read. I enjoy watching Macey play volleyball!!! I also like to travel.

My favorite foods are Greek and Italian. I love grilled pizza!

I enjoy reading biographies and mysteries when I have time.

I am currently reading a book called "Candymakers by Wendy Mass.

My goal this year is to read as many chapter books as I can, so I can give at least one booktalk each week to the 5th & 6th graders.
