On November 3, twenty of the DJH Band members competed against all of the other 7th and 8th grade students in the region for highly coveted spots in the Region 1 Middle School Band. Ester Chavez (7th grade) placed 3rd chair in the Concert Band on Clarinet (out of nearly 60 clarinets!) and because other students dropped, when the concert came around, she ended up sitting 1st chair in the concert band! Chase Brady, 7th grade alto sax player, placed 5th chair in the concert band. The alto sax auditions are extremely competitive and we are so proud of where Chase placed. Josh Fullerton, 8th grade clarinet player, placed 4th alternate in the clarinet section, which is an honor itself. Congrats to the students on all their hard work and achievements!
