The Morningside PTO is a volunteer organization that promotes strong connections between teachers and parents.
Why Join the PTO?
The PTO makes a difference in the lives of your children. The PTO appreciates everyone’s membership, whether or not the member volunteers, because each member increases the PTO’s ability to advocate for children. Decades of research shows that when parents are involved, students perform better in school. They receive higher grades and test scores, have better attendance and are more likely to graduate from high school and are more likely to pursue post-secondary education. Children of involved parents also exhibit increased motivation and better self esteem. Those great benefits come from parent involvement, a major focus of the PTO.
The following are some of our accomplishments:
*We held two book fairs.
*We created and purchased a yearbook that every child will get free of cost.
*We gave each teacher a wish list and if it was at all possible we gave each teacher what they wished for.
*And much more!!!
It is also a great way to meet other parents. We want your input, it is important to us!! If you have concerns we can help address them. If you have ideas to make Morningside Elementary a better place, we would love to hear them. Dues are $5. If you are interested in joining please send your name, address, phone number, e-mail address and $5(make checks payable to the Morningside PTO) and drop it by the office.
